Traditionally, the bride and groom get all the gifts surrounding a wedding. These gifts are given to help the couple build their home together. Some brides; however, respect the tradition of giving wedding favors to their guests in appreciation for sharing the newlywed’s special day. The couple gives wedding favors that share of piece of the life that they have shared so far. One tradition that is shared among many cultures is the giving of five candies. Each candy represents one of the five common wedding wishes: health, wealth, happiness, long life and fertility. Some of the most common wedding favors include: chocolates, picture frames, candles, and candle holders. Many brides today chose their wedding favor carefully in hopes of sharing a short message to the guests.
